A butcher visits Janaki, who is left with no option other than prostitution after her husband left her and her daughter. Living in a slum with no education, she is barely able to meet ends. The butcher's perception about Janaki changes as he discovers an old man in the same room who Janaki has rescued from the street and looks after him as her father.

Roshni, a single mother is worried about her six year old daughter Jhilmil. Suffering from acute renal failure, Roshni is desperate to find a shelter for her child. She sees a silver lining when she meets her childhood friend Reen Baruah after many years. Reen, a widow lost her husband and son in an accident, and is instantly drawn to Jhilmil's innocence. But God has something else in mind.
